Demystifying Spirituality

Spirituality is an innate capacity all human beings are born with.

Now I know some may object to that statement; but after years of observation, I have found it to be true..

Naturally, we all desire to be good and do good. However, our flaws frequently get in the way.

And it is through life’s humbling experiences that we come to a place of great surrender, where we realise we require the assistance of a Higher Power in order to live a meaningful life.

Spirituality is often perceived as a mystery and a difficult concept to grasp, but this is because it has been stained by imperfect people.

In my opinion, spiritually is essentially:

Developing a vibrant life -giving relationship with The Creator

The source of all life desires to be one with you, and as you seek connection with this mighty power it reveals who you truly are.

Balanced love for self and others

Your spiritual journey should lead you to grow in compassion for yourself and others. Through the hills and valleys of life, the goal is to grow in your capacity to receive divine love and freely give it away.

An awe-inspiring reverence for life

Life is a gift. Life is a blessing. As a result, all forms of life deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.

It’s the belief in right being before right doing

Before we can do we must first become. Spirituality is the practice of becoming a living example of the virtues we preach.

So finally, spiritual doesn’t need to be mysterious, if we remember that we all possess the intrinsic desire to be connected to The Creator.
